   Chapter 1

"Uncle Arthur where are you... why did you leave me... you told me we're boarding the train for Makati...where
are you uncle..." uttered by a pitiful but very handsome seven-year old boy as he kept looking around the train station for his uncle. The child continued looking, but wherever he looked, he just couldn't find him.

More people flocked to the station to board the train for Makati. With his exhaustion from walking, looking for his lost uncle, the boy sat on a long bench. Sitting on the bench, he kept looking around the train station trying to find his uncle, and hoped that he would somehow return to him. Shortly a beautiful young girl approached him. She looked at him for a while and decided to sit beside him. The young boy noticed the beautiful young girl who sat beside him on the bench. Hesitantly, he took a chance and asked, "Hey, have you seen my Uncle Arthur, huh?"

"No... I'm sorry but I don't really know your uncle. Ah... so that's why you look sad and worried because you're looking for him, he left you didn't he?" she asked. "Wait, what's your name, I'm Althea, you?"

she asked again. "Wait, you're hungry aren't you, okay you can have my other hamburger; anyway, my grandmother bought me two."

"Really, you're giving me one, I'm really hungry. The truth is I haven't had breakfast yet since I woke up. Is that delicious huh, this will be my first time to eat a hamburger," his embarrassed admission.
"Really, this is your first time to eat this, okay, let's eat together then," the young girl offered and started eating her hamburger. "I guess your uncle didn't take good care of you, that's why you haven't eaten any hamburger."
"No, my uncle took really good care of me. He normally buys me ice cream and bread from vendors because it's very delicious and just cheap. He just never bought me any hamburgers before. He then started eating the hamburger she gave him. "Thank

you really, my, this is really delicious, this hamburger is for the rich kids isn't it?" the boy noticed.
"No, I don't think so, I saw some poor looking children eating burgers too at the market near our place."
"Hey, I've been noticing for a while now, why are there so many children selling flowers and it looks like a lot wants to buy from them, huh?" the boy asked and continued chewing.
"Huh, it's Valentine’s Day today," answered the amused young girl. "I guess you didn't know that too."
"Huh, I've heard that before, but I just didn't know much about what people normally does on Valentine’s Day."
"Okay, it's like this Valentine’s Day is the day of hearts, of people who love someone, something like that," she explained. "Like my parents before, during this day, my dad would give my mom a lot of red roses because he loved my mom."

"Ah, okay, but why did your father love your mother huh?" he asked again.
"I'm not sure, maybe because my mom was beautiful and kind, but they're both gone now, God took them to heaven. So, I'm just going with my grandmother and grandfather to America, there they are they're buying tickets. We're going to Makati."

"So you're going to receive a lot of roses then," the young boy said.

"What made you say that, huh?"
"Because you said, if the girl is beautiful and kind she will receive a rose, so probably you'll receive a lot of that now."
"Huh, me, beautiful?" the girl asked slightly surprised.
"Of course," the boy added and looked at the beautiful girl he

was talking to.
Shortly, a huge man approached the two. "Are you the granddaughter of those two old couple who are buying train tickets?" he asked the young
girl.
             "Yes I am, why?"
"Your Althea then," the huge man abruptly dragged the young girl away. The girl screamed but the man covered her mouth with his hand and walked away with his captive.

"The young boy looked at his new young friend being dragged forcibly and he quickly reacted by chasing after the huge man. And when he caught up with him, he immediately kicked him from behind falling on the ground instantly and releasing the young girl. The young boy gallantly took her away from the man. The girl still looked horrified at what just happened to her but managed to speak and thank her new young friend.

"Thank you so much you rescued me. My god, you're so great. You only kicked him once and that bad man easily fell to the ground. I'm so impressed, are you a martial artist, huh?"
"No, not really, maybe I just got lucky.
Maybe his uncle didn't care enough to give him vitamins, that's why he fell so easily," the boy admitted and joked a little at the beautiful young girl smiling at him.
From behind them, the grandmother slowly approached the two talking to each other.
"Who's that boy you're talking to Althea? What's that in your eyes, did you cry huh?" asked the grandmother who wasn't aware of what actually happened to her granddaughter because of the young boy's fast rescue and heroic acts.
"A man just tried to kidnap me grandma. Luckily my new friend here kicked him hard rescuing me and immediately took me
